With our sea freight business segment, we open up an international perspective for your goods traffic. In sea freight, the container is the standard transport unit; it not only acts as a unit of volume, but also facilitates logistics processes. Sea freight container dimensions are ISO standardised, thus making it possible to establish a continuous transport chain from the consignor to the consignee.
Sea freight containers are stackable, can be loaded and reloaded seamlessly and thus enable transport processes that are as friction-free and optimised as possible. When it comes to the size of cargoes in sea freight containers, there are two main loading types, which are also reflected in our offer: FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) cargoes.
In the case of an FCL load, we transport a complete container, the capacities of which you utilise to the full. FCL cargoes are therefore particularly suitable for large quantities of goods shipped at the same time. If you have a smaller transport volume to ship in the course of your transport project, you need an LCL load so that your consignment can also be shipped as general cargo.
When you choose Keimelmayr to process your sea freight orders, you are choosing an experienced, owner-operated logistics company from Austria, for which a promise is as good as a contract – and that has its advantages. Not just that can you expect personal, cordial service from us; thanks to our independence of any company group, we are also particularly flexible in our processes.
