History

At Keimelmayr, we tend to concern ourselves with the things that must be done rather than things that are already done.

Nonetheless, it would be useful at this point to look back briefly at the past, just so you know where we came from and how we became one of the leading quality providers in the logistics sector.

1975

Our first office
Our forwarding agency is founded as a two-man operation. Lorry transports across Europe are planned from an office measuring around 20 square metres.

1977

We move to a building on the outskirts of Linz as a subtenant. Here we have our first small warehouse.

1978

Relocation to Madlsederstrasse, where we are able to use two storage depots with adjoining offices. The site has its own railway siding. These facilities represent a major step from straightforward truck haulage business to all-round service provider. An expanded range of services and the loyalty of our clients ushers in a phase of strong and steady growth.

1985

By now, Keimelmayr is synonymous with quality.

1985

A new office building is constructed in response to the growing staffing level.

1992

The company evolves from a simple haulier to a logistical forwarding agent, requiring construction of a 750-square-metre warehouse and an outdoor storage area with shed roof on the same site. The offices are expanded by 70 square metres in the process.

1994

Specialisation in the distribution of wood products and resultant demands on ourselves as a warehouse keeper necessitate construction of another warehouse spanning 1,050 square metres.

With the workforce now comprising 20 employees, the offices are expanded once again in the process.

1996

We construct a 3,000 square metre warehouse in Leonding (near Linz), equipped with cantilevered high-bay storage operated by four-way side loaders with electronic height pre-selection and forcible control. In this way we respond to the rising demands of our clients, and especially suppliers to DIY stores. A high performance computer system conforming to the latest standards (IBM-RS 6000/ORACLE database) is also installed in this year.

1997

On 1st December, part of the company site at Madlsederstrasse 17 in Linz is let; all divisions relocate to Schirmerstrasse 5 in Leonding. Keimelmayr is re-established under one roof, enabling us to meet customer needs even more effectively.

2010

Another level is added to the office building.

2016

A new image is presented through a re-designed web site.
